Lammie assesses Russia's readiness for negotiations with Ukraine

  • Lammie believes that Russia is not ready for serious negotiations.
  • The Kremlin again claims readiness for dialogue, but without changes in its demands.
  • The Ukrainian people continue to fight for independence, even without external support.

This is reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, RBC Ukraine.

The British Minister for Foreign Affairs David Lammie believes that Russia is currently not ready for serious negotiations regarding the end of the war in Ukraine. In his interview, he noted that the Kremlin's ambitions remain maximalist and imperialistic.

Lammie emphasized that Ukraine's struggle, supported by Great Britain, Europe, and the USA, is immense. He expressed the assumption that negotiations could start in a year, but the question remains whether Russia will be serious about them.

The Kremlin again claims its "readiness for peace negotiations" with Ukraine, but does not change its demands. According to Putin, Russia's key demands remain актуальними: the neutral status of Ukraine, a refusal from NATO, demilitarization, and recognition of occupied territories as part of Russia.

Lammie also noted the resilience of the Ukrainian people, indicating that even without international support, they continue to fight for their country.
