Manchester United is close to finalizing an agreement with Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig. The 22-year-old forward, according to several sources, has agreed to the terms of a personal contract that could last until 2031.

The club from Old Trafford is in a battle for the player with Newcastle, who initially offered 75 million euros plus 5 million in bonuses. Later, Newcastle raised their offer to 80 million euros, and then to 82.5 million. However, despite the higher offer, Šeško expressed a desire to join Manchester United.

At the moment, Manchester United has submitted an official proposal for a total of 85 million euros, of which 75 million euros will be paid upfront, and 10 million euros will be in the form of bonuses related to appearances. Although the agreement is not finalized yet, both sides are set on optimistic terms.

In the previous season, Šeško scored 21 goals in all competitions for Leipzig and demonstrates high potential for further development. His desire to join Manchester United significantly complicates the situation for Newcastle, who were previously considered the favorites in this battle.
