The attack took place in the night from July 30 to July 31, as a result of which several districts of the city were affected, including Svyatoshynskyi and Solomyanskyi. As a result of the attack, residential buildings were destroyed, which led to significant human casualties.
According to information released on September 2, it was previously reported about 31 dead and 159 injured, among whom were children. Tkachenko also noted that the consequences of the attack are still being felt long after it was completed, which underscores the lasting tragedy for the families of the deceased.
A special meeting was held in the Ukrainian government, during which procedures for responding to the destruction of buildings, resulting from the attack, were discussed.
