In the 2025 Formula 1 championship, the battle between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri continues, with both drivers having serious chances for the title. Currently, Piastri leads in the standings with 284 points, while Norris has collected 275 points. The competition between them remains the main storyline of the season.

In the last races in Hungary, Norris gained the upper hand, scoring a record nine points ahead of Piastri. This took place after the summer break, after which the championship will resume at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands from September 29 to 31.

McLaren's head Zak Brown noted that there is trust and respect between the drivers, which does not lead to serious conflicts. He believes that both Norris and Piastri could reconnect on the track, and the team is ready to solve any problems that may arise.

The drivers have already scored six and five podiums respectively in 14 races of the season. Brown believes that the competition between them will remain fair, as they have long-term contracts with the team.

Currently, Brown does not believe that there is tension between Norris and Piastri, although with the approaching end of the season, it may arise.
