Four people died as a result of the crash of a medical aircraft in the Navajo Nation in Arizona on September 5, 2025. The aircraft, a Beechcraft 300 model, crashed during landing at Chinle Airport while medical personnel were transporting a patient to the nearest hospital.

The crash occurred around 12:40 PM. On board the aircraft were medical personnel who were not local residents. The company CSI Aviation from Albuquerque, New Mexico, owns the aircraft, and its representatives informed the relatives of the deceased.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have begun an investigation. All access to the airport was closed during the investigation.

The president of the Navajo Nation, Buu Nygren, expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased, noting that this is a great loss for the community, as these individuals dedicated their lives to saving others.
