MTV VMA Nominations 2025 Include Ledi Gaga and Bruno Mars

• Ledi Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Kendrik Lamar lead the nominations.

This year's nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) have been announced, including the introduction of two new categories.

Ledi Gaga leads with 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars with 11 and Kendrik Lamar with 10. The ceremony will be held on September 7 at UBS Arena in New York City and will be broadcast live on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+ at 8:00 PM Eastern Time.

Ledi Gaga received nominations in the categories of "Best Rock Artist" and "Best Album" for her album Mayhem. She already has 18 VMA nominations throughout her career. Bruno Mars and Ledi Gaga are also nominated for their collaboration on the song Die With A Smile.

This year, two new categories have been added: "Best Rock Song" and "Best Pop Artist." Nominees for Best Rock Song include Krisa Steplton and Morgan Wallen.

Among other nominees for this year's awards are Sabrin Carpenter with 8 nominations and Ariana Grande with 7. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift received one nomination each in the "Best Rock Artist" category, although both artists did not release albums last year.

Voting for 19 categories, which do not have a gender restriction, has already opened, and fans can vote until September 5 at 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
