Trust in Zelensky has decreased to 58%

  • Trust in Zelensky has been declining for the third consecutive month.
  • The largest decrease in trust has been recorded among young people under 30 years old.
  • Trust remains higher than during the lowest indicators of the war.

This is reported by Interfax Ukraine, Ukrayinska Pravda.

According to the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KMIS), 58% of Ukrainians currently trust President Volodymyr Zelensky, while 35% do not trust him. The survey was conducted from July 23 to August 4, 2025.

In June, 65% of respondents expressed trust in the president, which indicates a decrease in the trust balance from +35% to +23% over the two months. Notably, the trust indicators are higher than during the lowest point of the full-scale war, recorded in the summer of 2024.

KMIS notes that the largest decline in trust is observed among young people under 30, where trust decreased from 74% to 59%. There was also a decline recorded among other age categories, but to a lesser extent.

KMIS expert Anton Grushevsky believes that despite significant protests and active media reactions, the president remains at a high level of trust among Ukrainians. However, a persistent trend of decline is a troubling signal that requires attention from the authorities.

The survey was conducted using the method of telephone interviews among 1,022 adult respondents in all controlled regions of Ukraine.
