He is joining the Democratic race, where there are already several candidates, including Senator Jason Esteves and former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. Turmond emphasized that his campaign focuses not on the politics of President Donald Trump but on the interests of Georgia residents.

Turmond believes that his experience and abilities will unite various communities to support his strong candidacy. He also noted that it is important to have a candidate who can win elections, especially since this is a key turning point in the election cycle.
