The 38-year-old Lund, who has worked for publications such as the New York Times and Atlantic, went missing on July 31 while on a four-day hike. He did not check in on time and did not manage to catch the train to Great Britain from Bergen.

The search operation included teams from the Red Cross, police, dogs, and drones. The operation was suspended due to worsening weather conditions. Lund's sister confirmed that he was found in good health and was being transported to Bergen by helicopter.
