The armed forces of Ukraine continue to hold back Russian troops in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that for over a week, Russia has been relentlessly trying to defeat Ukrainian forces in this area.
According to the information received, only 1,370 people remain in Pokrovsk. The head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, noted that the evacuation of civilians from populated points in the Donetsk region has significantly increased. Earlier, 300-400 people were leaving the city daily, but now this number has risen to 600-700.
Filashkin added that the situation in the city is complicated by constant blockades, which hinder the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid. "We are relying only on the military and asking our defenders to assist with the evacuation of people," he said.
In Pokrovsk, it is practically impossible to leave, as the blockades continue daily. He also noted that in Kostyantynivka, there are still 8,261 people left, and without the help of special services, evacuation will be nearly impossible.
Additionally, the General Staff reported information about a possible encirclement of Ukrainian units in Pokrovsk, stating that Russian troops continue to carry out offensive operations in the northern direction from the city.
