ESPN Streaming Service Launches on September 21

  • ESPN will launch its streaming service on September 21, 2025.
  • The service will cost $29.99 per month and provide access to sporting events.
  • ESPN will offer a 10% stake in NFL shares and rights to league content.

Main Information

The independent ESPN streaming service will launch on September 21, as announced by the Walt Disney Company in the middle of the week. This comes after ESPN announced a deal with the National Football League regarding the NFL Network and other media activities.

The new service will cost $29.99 per month and will be available in packages with Disney+ and Hulu.

Key Facts

The service will provide access to linear channels ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACN and others, including 47,000 live sporting events annually. Additionally, there will be the ability to watch replays and original programs.

Under the agreement, ESPN will also receive a 10% stake in NFL shares, as well as rights to selected NFL content, including some preseason matches.

ESPN plans to broadcast the NFL draft starting in 2026, and will also launch a new WWE service that will include exclusive events.

Competition in the streaming services sector is increasing as other companies, such as Comcast and DirecTV, are also launching their sports propositions.
