Lindsay Vonn has appointed Aksel Lund Svindal as her trainer

Lindsay Vonn, the American skiing star, has added to her team the former great athlete Aksel Lund Svindal, who is preparing for the winter Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina, which will take place from February 6 to 22, 2026.
The 40-year-old athlete, who won gold in the downhill at the 2010 Olympics, returned to the sport last year after a long break due to injuries. She has received a new title sponsor in the right column and plans to compete in the Olympics.
Svindal, a two-time Olympic champion, will start working with Vonn at the training camp in Chile, which takes place this summer. Vonn noted that his presence in the team is a great motivation for her in preparation for the Olympic Games.
Svindal, who has won four Olympic medals and five world championship titles, expressed surprise and honor when he received the invitation from Vonn. Vonn finished her previous season in second place at the World Cup stage in Super-G in Berchtesgaden, which became her first podium in the World Cup since 2018.
