CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn did not participate in joint training with the Cleveland Browns this week due to a car accident in which he was involved on the way to Bank of America Stadium.

According to team information, Horn was alone in the car at the time of the incident, which occurred at the intersection near the stadium. He did not require emergency medical assistance, but Horn was evaluated by the team's medical personnel. Panthers trainer David Kanales confirmed that Horn sprained his left hand, and he will not play in the first preseason game against Cleveland on Friday evening.

When asked whether there were any injuries in the accident, a team representative referred to the Charlotte police. Horn recently signed a four-year contract worth up to 100 million dollars, which includes 70 million guaranteed, after last season he received an invitation to the Pro Bowl, recording interceptions, 13 pass deflections, and two sacks.

Jaycee Horn was selected eighth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
