ESPN Signs Deal with WWE for WrestleMania Broadcast

  • ESPN will become the exclusive broadcaster for WWE starting in 2026.
  • The deal is valued at over $1.6 billion.
  • WWE will broadcast its premium events on the new ESPN platform.

ESPN has announced a new agreement with WWE, under which it will acquire the rights to broadcast key events, including WrestleMania, starting in 2026. ESPN will become the exclusive domestic channel for all WWE premium events, such as Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank.

The deal, signed in the middle of the week, is valued at over $1.6 billion and is a significant step for ESPN, which is actively expanding its streaming services. ESPN plans to launch a new platform for consumers by the end of 2025, where subscribers will be able to access all ESPN programming for $29.99 per month.

This has become the second major announcement by ESPN in a matter of days. Previously, the company signed a deal with the NFL, under which it acquired rights to the NFL Network, as well as RedZone.

Company representatives stated that the agreement with WWE is an important moment for both parties, as it allows ESPN to significantly expand its content offerings.
