The Lebanese Army Liquidated Three Most Wanted Drug Dealers

  • The Lebanese Army liquidated three notorious drug dealers.
  • The incident occurred in Baalbek during a military operation.
  • One of the deceased had over 100 orders for arrest.

This was reported by ABC News, Asharq Al-Awsat.

The Lebanese Army reported that on September 5, they eliminated three of the most wanted drug dealers in the country, who were also implicated in the killings of military personnel.

The incident took place in northern Baalbek, where the army is seeking to strengthen its presence, especially along the border with Syria. This border has been an important route for smuggling arms and drugs for many years, including cannabis and amphetamines, famously known as Captagon.

According to the army's statement, during the pursuit of the vehicle used by these three dealers, a shootout occurred, which resulted in their deaths.

The army noted that these individuals were among the most dangerous drug dealers, who had fired upon military posts and patrols, and were also involved in kidnappings and robberies.

Two judicial sources reported that one of the deceased had 115 arrest warrants and was implicated in a kidnapping incident in 2023 in Beirut. The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity according to regulations.
