The artificial intelligence Grok Imagine, developed by the company xAI, recently became known for its ability to generate iconic images of Taylor Swift without any explicit request for this. In a new statement, it is noted that the new function of Grok Imagine allows users to create images based on text prompts. At the same time, even without indications for the iconicity, the system can generate overtly videos.
Along with the information, Grok Imagine in "spicy" mode allows creating photos and videos, including with iconic images, which provoked a backlash among the fandom. For example, one of the users created a video where Taylor Swift, celebrating at the Coachella festival, began to take off her clothes, although the request did not specify the need for iconicity.
This situation is not new for Taylor Swift, as in previous years on social media there have appeared AI-generated iconic images featuring her, which provoked outrage among her fans. They created the hashtag #ProtectTaylorSwift to protest against these images. The Department of Bilogical also expressed concern about the provocation of this incident.
According to recent research, 99% of victims of deepfake pornography are women, which underscores the need for legislative measures to combat such content. In particular, in April of this year, the "Take it Down Act" was signed, which prohibits the distribution of non-consensual iconic images on the Internet.
