Infiniti Presents New Concepts and the Sport Version of QX80

  • Infiniti will present three conceptual models on September 15.
  • The sport version of the QX80 features an aggressive design, but without additional power.
  • Infiniti sales decreased by 9% in the first half of the year.

Nissan, known for its luxury brand Infiniti, is changing its design and sales strategy due to competition and new import tariffs and restrictions.

On September 15, during Pebble Beach Automotive Week, Infiniti will showcase three conceptual vehicles, including the QX65 Monograph, which is a luxury SUV based on a model that will be produced in the USA next spring.

At the exhibition, two concepts of the QX80 will also debut, which aim to elevate the brand to a new level. One of these models focuses on speed, while the other emphasizes off-road capability.

Tiago Castro, Vice President of Infiniti Americas, stated that new import tariffs on vehicles and parts were announced on his second day in office, which complicates the situation for the company. Infiniti sales in the USA decreased by 9% in the first half of the year.

In addition, Infiniti announced a new sport version of the QX80 for 2026, which will feature an aggressive design but will not have additional power. The sport version will include a new trim, dark design elements, and special 22-inch wheels.

Among other features of the QX80 Sport are massage seats, a 24-channel Klipsch audio system, and ambient interior lighting. The price for the QX80 Pure RWD starts at $85,940, while the sport version will cost from $104,140.

Infiniti is working on improving customer experience and sales, reviewing programs for dealers and launching new advertising campaigns.
