Russian forces attack civilian infrastructure in Sumy region

On September 6 around 21:00, Russian forces launched an attack on Sumy, specifically in the Kovalivka district. As a result of the attack, civilian infrastructure was damaged, and fires occurred in the dacha areas, reported the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Hryhoriv.
According to him, the attack did not result in casualties and injuries, but the scale of the inflicted damage is still being assessed. All necessary emergency services are working on-site to extinguish the fires.
This attack is part of a larger shelling, during which Russian troops attacked 32 populated points in the Sumy region, which led to the deaths of two civilians and injuries to five individuals between the morning of September 5 and September 6.
In addition, on the night of September 6, Russian troops launched 45 strikes on Ukraine from three directions, but most of them were neutralized by the Ukrainian forces. However, there were direct hits, particularly in the Odesa region, where gas infrastructure was damaged, leading to a fire.
