Burnley signs a contract with forward Ugochukwu from Chelsea
- Lesley Ugochukwu has signed a contract with Burnley for five years.
- Ugochukwu becomes the second Frenchman in the team after Luma Tshauni.
- The club is also considering the possibility of signing Armand Brodji from Chelsea.
Burnley officially announced the signing of French forward Lesley Ugochukwu from Chelsea for a fee of over £20 million sterling.
The 21-year-old player signed a five-year contract, which will last until 2030. Ugochukwu becomes the second Frenchman to join the team after Luma Tshauni.
Ugochukwu, who previously played for Rennes, joined Chelsea in 2023 for €27 million. In the previous season, he played 15 matches for "the Reds," and also spent a year on loan at Southampton, where he played 31 matches.
"This is an ideal choice for me at this stage of my career," Ugochukwu commented. "I was excited to learn more about the club's project." After signing the contract, he expressed satisfaction with the fact that he could play under the leadership of Scott Parker in the Premier League.
Burnley is also negotiating the signing of Chelsea forward Armand Brodji for a potential fee of £20 million sterling.
