Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted for the sexual exploitation of minors, was recently transferred to a federal prison camp in Texas, known as FPC Bryan. This camp, which has a minimum-security level, has imposed restrictions on access after her arrival, according to information from legal organizations.

When Maxwell was transferred, correctional officers from the Bureau of Prisons were stationed at the entrance of the camp to verify documents. This is unusual for FPC Bryan, where typically visitors can enter without such procedures. The camp, located in a residential area, houses approximately 635 inmates.

After a meeting with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch, where Maxwell responded to specific inquiries, her transfer raised many questions. Typically, those convicted of sexual offenses do not end up in camps of this security level.

However, the program for service dog training, available at the camp, is not offered to her due to her criminal history. The organization that conducts the training confirmed that they have a policy that prohibits participation of individuals convicted of crimes related to child abuse or animals.

After her transfer, some experts expressed concern about the suitability of the minimum-security facility for someone like Maxwell, as the camp is not designed for holding such high-profile inmates. As noted by a former guard, to ensure security in such a location, resources are insufficient.
