United Airlines suspended flights due to a technical problem
- The suspension of United Airlines flights occurred due to a technical problem.
- The airline clarified that this is not a cyberattack.
- United Express flights are not subject to the suspension.
On Wednesday evening, the Federal Aviation Administration of the USA issued an order regarding the suspension of United Airlines flights, which impacted flights heading to Chicago.
The reason for the suspension was an issue with the computer system of weight and balance. The company stated: "We are holding United flights at their respective airports. Additional flight delays are expected this evening while we work on resolving this issue. Safety is our top priority, and we will work with our customers to get them to their destinations."
It was also confirmed that this is not a cyberattack. The suspension does not affect United Express flights, and all flights that are already in the air will continue on their route.
According to the FAA's earlier statements, the company requested the suspension of flights in major hubs, such as New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, and Houston.
This story is developing and will be updated with new information.
