Dean Cain, a former actor known for playing Superman, announced his joining the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to support President Donald Trump's anti-immigration policy. He revealed his decision during an interview on Fox News, where he stated that he wants to actively work to ensure the safety of Americans.
Cain, who is a retired sheriff and reserve police officer, pointed out that his decision to become an ICE agent was influenced by the widespread promotion of one of their recruitment videos on social media. He emphasized that the country has a problematic immigration system, and while Congress may want to fix it, Trump fulfills the promises for which he was elected by Americans.
Cain noted that ICE conducts numerous arrests and indicated that he wants other former officers to join him. He also encouraged Americans to participate in the recruitment of new agents, highlighting the benefits, such as bonuses upon signing contracts and the possibility of quick employment.
Recently, ICE has ramped up operations and arrests, which have led to protests in the U.S. The agency's actions have sparked significant resonance among the population, including the detention of protesters and civilians who attempted to secure arrests.
Cain also expressed his thoughts on new films about Superman, stating that changes in the portrayal of the character could be considered "progressive." He recently supported the idea that new interpretations of the character should take into account the time in which they are created.
