Deliveroo Reports Increased Sales and Orders

  • Deliveroo confirmed an 8% increase in orders in 2025.
  • The company anticipates the completion of an agreement with DoorDash in the fourth quarter.
  • Losses for the first half of the year amounted to £19.2 million.

Deliveroo announced a significant increase in sales and order volume for the first half of 2025. Along with the company's information, consumers have increasingly ordered food for takeaway, positively impacting the results.

The total value of agreements (GTV) rose to £3.8 billion, which is 9% higher compared to the same period last year. The number of orders increased to 147 million, which is 8% more than in 2024.

The company noted that the increase was driven by the expansion of choices for consumers and improvements in their delivery efficiency. The average frequency of orders also rose, indicating enhanced consumer engagement.

However, Deliveroo reported losses of £19.2 million compared to a profit of £1.3 million for the same period last year. This occurred due to expenses related to the planned acquisition of DoorDash for £2.9 billion, which is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approval.

Based on the core indicators, profit before tax, taxes, and other expenses increased by 46% to £96.3 million. The company also raised its full-year guidance for profitability, expecting GTV growth to reach significant percentages.
