Chelsea is considering a possible departure of Nicolas Jackson

  • Enzo Maresca does not rule out the possibility of Jackson's departure.
  • "Chelsea" expects to receive no less than £64 million for Jackson.
  • Levi Colwill has sustained an injury during training, the terms of his recovery remain unknown.

The head coach of "Chelsea" Enzo Maresca does not rule out the possibility of Nicolas Jackson leaving the club during the summer transfer window. As reported by The Athletic, the club does not have an urgent need to sell the 24-year-old forward, but acknowledges that he may seek to move to another place for more playing time.

With the arrival of new forwards, João Pedro and Lamine Diop, Jackson finds himself in the third position in the number 9 role. In connection with this, "Newcastle" has shown interest in Jackson, as "Manchester United" is considering their proposal for Benjamin Sesko from "RB Leipzig". If "Chelsea" decides to sell Jackson, the club expects to receive no less than £64 million, which would double the amount paid for "Villarreal" in 2023.

Maresca noted that currently Jackson normally reacts to transfer feelings. "When the transfer window opens, unfortunately, it can all become overwhelming," he said.

Additionally, Maresca confirmed that defender Levi Colwill sustained an injury during the first training of the team. His absence causes concern, as he was one of the key players last season. Regarding the terms of Colwill's recovery, the trainer said that currently, there is no information available.

"Chelsea" will hold a friendly match against "Bayer Leverkusen" at "Stamford Bridge" on Friday.
