The company Omoda announced a swift update of its models 5 and E5 SUV, which has become a response to the critical reviews from ZMI. The update comes less than a year after the release of these vehicles on the Great Britain market.
The main changes include improved technical characteristics, enhanced quality of materials, and upgraded handling. In particular, the modernized front suspension and modified steering geometry are designed to ensure better driving dynamics.
Previously, the model 5 received criticism for poor suspension balance and handling. The enhancements also include new front suspension components and shock absorbers, as well as replaced rear coil springs, since the vehicles were criticized for "uncomfortable handling."
Interior fittings of both models have been unified, which has increased comfort. New 12.25-inch diagonal displays are provided, ensuring better visibility while driving.
Additionally, a new spare wheel has been added, which has increased luggage volume from 372 liters to 430 liters. The 5 engine with a capacity of 1.6 liters has been reduced to 145 hp to lower emissions.
The electric version E5 has received a new battery with a capacity of 61 kWh, ensuring a range of up to 267 miles. Prices for the model 5 start from £23,990, while the E5 starts from £33,065.
