FC Barcelona Relieves Marc-André ter Stegen of Captaincy

The football club FC Barcelona has announced that they have temporarily relieved Marc-André ter Stegen of the captaincy. This decision is related to the opening of disciplinary proceedings against the player due to his refusal to sign an agreement for the transfer of medical data to La Liga.
According to reports, ter Stegen, who is suffering from an injury to the lower part of his spine, did not sign the form, which led to his suspension from the club's management. In connection with this, the captaincy will temporarily shift to another team captain, Ronald Araújo.
The club stated that the decision to relieve the captaincy was made as part of the preparations for the new season, which starts on August 17. Araújo is likely to be the captain during the traditional match at the Joan Gamper Trophy.
This move is also linked to the financial aspects, as Barcelona aims to recruit new players, such as João Gascía and Marcus Rashford, to replace ter Stegen.
