The company of Donald Trump, Trump Media, has introduced a new AI search engine called Truth Search AI. This service was developed in collaboration with the company Perplexity and is accessible on the web version of the Truth Social platform.

General Director of Trump Media Devin Nunes stated that the new tool aims to make the platform an important element of "Patriotic Economy." The search engine intends to ensure that users receive reliable answers to important questions.

During the testing process, it was found that the majority of the sources that Truth Search AI references are conservative media, such as Fox News and Washington Times. This has sparked criticism regarding possible bias in the provided information.

Critics point out that while the service claims to offer transparency, it may limit search results to sources that support Trump. For instance, inquiries about the economic impact of Trump’s tariffs yielded responses only from Fox Business.

Perplexity, the company that developed the search technology, has already faced criticism for the potential use of unauthorized data collection methods from other websites. In response to the accusations, Perplexity stated that their system is not adequate for distinguishing between legitimate AI assistants and threats.

According to a press release from Trump Media, their mission is to "counter the onslaught of big technology on freedom of speech" and open the Internet for users.
