Russian troops are carrying out strikes on Kherson and evacuation routes
- Russian troops continue to bombard Kherson, including the Korabel microdistrict.
- Evacuation of the population is ongoing under constant enemy attacks.
- The humanitarian situation in the region is deteriorating due to the disruption of electricity and water supply.
This is reported by Ukrinform, RBC Ukraine, Ukrinform.
Russian troops have intensified shelling in Kherson, particularly in the Korabel microdistrict, which is leading to a worsening humanitarian situation. According to Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, the likelihood of a landing of Russian troops in this area remains minimal from a military point of view.
Voloshin noted that for the capture of the Korabel microdistrict, Russian troops need to overcome several water obstacles and islands, which is a complex task at the moment. Ukrainian forces are actively working on identifying and eliminating any enemy groups attempting to carry out a landing.
According to recent data, over the past day, Russian troops carried out 280 drone attacks and nine airstrikes on Kherson, including on the bridge that connects with the Korabel microdistrict. Although the city has been heavily shelled, it remains under Ukrainian control and can be reinforced.
The head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that under conditions of constant strikes, evacuation of the civilian population is taking place under extremely difficult conditions. More than 1,000 people have already been evacuated from Korabel as of 12:00 on September 7, 2025. However, there are occasional incidents of people returning after evacuation.
Prokudin also indicated that the humanitarian situation in the region is worsening, as shelling has led to the disruption of electricity and water supply. Water is supplied by deliveries, and the terms of restoration depend on the situation with security.
