Five players from the England national team, which won the Euro 2025, have been nominated for this year's Golden Ball for women. The captain of the team, Leah Williamson, along with Lucy Bronze, Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo, and Hannah Hampton made it to the list of nominees following their successful performance at the championship.
Hannah Hampton also received a nomination for the Yashin Trophy, awarded to the best goalkeeper. She has been a crucial part of the team, making two outstanding saves in the penalty shootout during the semifinals.
The nominations for Williamson, Russo, and Kelly indicate that all seven players from Arsenal made it to the list of nominees for the Golden Ball. The team finished last season in second place in the Women's Super League and won the Champions League.
Last year, the award was won by Aitana Bonmatí, who again made it to the list along with six players from Barcelona, including Alexia Putellas. Additionally, forward Michèle Agyeman was nominated for the Trophy Copa, awarded to the best young footballer.
England defender Sarah Wigman also received a nomination for the Johan Cruyff Trophy, where she is represented by other managers from the Women's Super League.
