FLORHAM PARK, New Jersey (AP) — The new head coach of the New York Jets Aaron Glenn confirmed that the main players of the team, including new quarterback Justin Fields, will participate in the first game of the preseason against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday evening.

Glenn stated that his decision to play the main players is part of the team’s strategy, which aims to create a clear identity from the very beginning. "I want our guys to play," he said after the last practice before the game. "This is not just about preseason, but also about showing what we will be. Every step of the system, every detail should be reflected on the field."

The players of the team considered such a decision reasonable. Safety Saquon Gardner expressed confidence that the coach wants to see how they will perform against the superstars. "We focused on tactics in practices, so I wasn’t surprised," Gardner noted.

Key players will also be on the field, such as Garrett Wilson, Brice Hall, and Allen Lazard. Glenn emphasized that it is important to start building chemistry among players in real game conditions.
