LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Rams do not believe that the state of their quarterback Matthew Stafford is a serious issue ahead of the start of the season. As head coach Sean McVay reported, Stafford has a disk issue in his back, but plans to return to training next week after an epidural injection that is expected to alleviate his condition.

At this moment, Stafford is not participating in training, but he intends to complete full physical preparation on Saturday before the first preseason match against the Dallas Cowboys. If there are no setbacks, he could return to full training next week.

As for other players, there was an incident during training with Jared Vears, who sustained an injury and was forced to leave the field with the help of medical personnel. Vears is an important player in the Rams roster, but his injury has not yet been assessed for severity.

Additionally, Sean McVay confirmed that fellow linebacker, Kobe Turner, also has issues with his back and is recovering in a "day-to-day" state. Meanwhile, the team continues to work on strengthening its roster and plans to utilize Jimmy Garoppolo as a backup quarterback in case Stafford cannot play.

It remains to be seen if Stafford can return to practice without setbacks, as the team prepares for important matches in the regular season, including against the Texans and Eagles.
