Apple released the second public beta version of iOS 26 on July 7, 2025. This version includes new features, among which is the ability to create polls in the Messages app.

The add-on helps users decide questions such as where to eat, thanks to voting. In a group chat, a poll can be created so that each participant can express their opinion.

To create a poll, you need to:

  1. Open the Messages add-on and select a chat.
  2. Click the plus (+) button on the left side of the text field.
  3. Select Poll.

After this, a field will appear for entering response variants, where the user can specify from two to twelve variants.

Users can also add their own variants if they are insufficient, by clicking on Add Variant.

Voting proceeds simply: just click on the selected option. After voting, the profile image of the user who voted will appear, allowing all chat participants to see who voted.

This function not only allows organizing voting but also makes the process more interactive and convenient for all chat participants.
