The Possible Meeting of Trump and Putin is Being Discussed for Next Week

The President of the USA Donald Trump and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin may meet as soon as next week. According to information obtained from two sources, the negotiations are ongoing, and they are planned for Monday, August 11. Rome is being considered as one of the possible venues for holding this meeting.
Fox News also notes that if the meeting takes place later this week, Rome may still be a possible venue for negotiations, although other locations in Europe are also being considered.
Meanwhile, Russian state media ZMI already report that Rome cannot be the place for the meeting between Trump and Putin.
The Meeting of Trump and Putin
On August 6, the special representative of the USA, Steve Vitkoff, visited Moscow, where he held three meetings with Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump characterized these negotiations as productive.
According to reports from The New York Times, the meeting between Trump and Putin may take place next week, after which trilateral negotiations with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky are planned.
Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed the agreement between Moscow and Washington and noted that the venue for the meeting has already been agreed upon. Putin also stated that the meeting with Trump could take place in the United Arab Emirates.
