Kane Celebrates Partnership with Son After His Move to Los Angeles FC

Harry Kane expressed gratitude to his former teammate Son Heung-min, calling their partnership one of the best in Premier League history, after the South Korean footballer left Tottenham Hotspur.

Son, who played alongside Kane for nearly a decade, moved to Los Angeles FC in a record transfer on August 8, 2025. During this time, they scored a combined 47 goals in the championship.

The 33-year-old captain of the South Korean national team joined Tottenham from Bayer in 2015, scoring 173 goals and providing 101 assists in 454 matches. He also helped the team win their first trophy in 17 years, winning the European League in the spring.

"A tremendous farewell to him and his career at Tottenham," said Kane after the friendly match with his former team. "I know him well as a friend and know what a great player he is. We had one of the best partnerships in the Premier League. It’s a wonderful way to end his career at Tottenham, winning a trophy last year. Now for him, a new chapter, he goes to LA, and I wish him all the best, hoping that we will meet soon and have a chat."

Kane, who spent most of his career at Tottenham, moved to the German club Bayern in September 2023, breaking the record with 280 goals in over 430 matches.
