On August 8, 2025, Russian drones carried out attacks on the Ukrainian cities of Sumy and Kharkiv. In Sumy, a residential building was damaged, which subsequently led to a fire at the site.
According to the statement of Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, head of the Sumy regional military administration, as a result of the attack, there were no casualties. Currently, the consequences of this attack are being assessed.
In Kharkiv, in the Saltivskyi district, a Russian drone struck a civilian facility, resulting in a fire covering an area of 500 square meters. Two civilians, a 66-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, experienced stress reactions due to the attack and received necessary assistance.
At the site of the fire in Kharkiv, 50 rescuers and 13 firefighting vehicles were involved. The fire originated at the site and on the mechanical surface of a four-story office building.
The attacks occurred late at night on August 8, and rescue services continue to work on eliminating the aftermath.
