  • The statue will be unveiled before the game against the Washington Commanders.
  • Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots over 18 seasons.

Foxborough, Massachusetts — Tom Brady has left his mark in the history of New England Patriots for two decades. Now he will become the first player in the history of the team to have a statue erected.

During the ceremonial induction in the Patriots Hall of Fame on the red carpet, where the number 12 was also retired, the owner of the team Robert Kraft spoke about the creation of a 12-foot bronze statue to honor the legendary quarterback Tom Brady.

The statue will be presented on Friday before the game against the Washington Commanders. Brady will be present at the ceremony, which will include appearances by Kraft and Brady himself before fans, who will be able to take the field before the stadium opens at Gillette for four hours prior to the game.

This is yet another tribute to the quarterback, whose number is still visible on the tribunes of Gillette Stadium, even five years after his last game for the Patriots in 2019.

Brady, drafted 199th overall in 2000, became a symbol of the Patriots dynasty, winning six Super Bowl titles and 17 division championships over 18 seasons as a starting quarterback. He also won one Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021.
