The head coach of Rangers, Rassel Martin, is not resigning due to the team's performance before the match of the Champions League qualifiers against Viktoria Plzen.

After a disappointing 1-1 draw with Motherwell, Martin decided to keep four players on the bench, including captain James Tavernier and midfielder Nikolas Raskin, which sparked discussion in the media. The team has been known for several years since the start of the season, but this did not prevent Rangers from securing a 3-0 win.

Martin noted that such resignations have become common in modern football. "I realized this when I arrived at the stadium, because I do not use social media. People who are left out of the squad inform their agents, friends, and relatives, and this quickly gets into the media. I cannot control this," he said.

The coach also emphasized that he does not consider the team's performance as a preparation for the super subs. "I don't think this changes the plan for the super subs for the whole season, as they have already performed a larger part of the work," Martin added.

In the match against Dandy on the weekend, Martin again could not count on newcomers Miki Mora and Telo Aasgaard, as well as forward Hamza Igaman. Mora is waiting for international clearance and may join the team after his 18th birthday.

Currently, Aasgaard and Igaman are working on returning to physical form.
