The Council of the European Union approved the decision to provide Ukraine with 3.056 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility program. This was announced by Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"This is a powerful signal of trust in our reform course and the ability to ensure stability in the most challenging times," she noted in Telegram.
Svyrydenko expressed gratitude to the Danish leadership for their clear support. According to her, each such decision brings Ukraine closer to a strong Europe.
The Ukraine Facility program provides financial support to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros for 2024-2027, aimed at ensuring macroeconomic stability, recovery, and modernization of the country.
It is noteworthy that in July, the representative of the European Commission, Heimo Merz, stated that the next, fourth tranche of financial assistance to Ukraine in 2025 will be provided in September in the amount of 3.05 billion euros instead of 4.5 billion euros due to the incomplete implementation of Ukraine's three out of 16 promised reforms.
The first regular tranche of the Ukraine Facility, received by Ukraine in September of last year, amounted to 4.2 billion euros, of which 1.5 billion euros was a grant. In total, last September, 4.1 billion euros were received, and at the beginning of March this year – 3.5 billion euros, including a grant of 400 million euros.
In 2025, Ukraine plans to receive about 12.5 billion euros in financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility, of which 1.5 billion euros will be in the form of a grant.
The volume of transfers under the Ukraine Facility program depends on the implementation of key indicators by Ukraine.
