A group of Ukrainians who were deported from Russia and found themselves at the Georgian border received necessary assistance. According to the information from the Ukrainian embassy in Georgia, Ukrainians were provided with food, medical supplies, and other essential items.

The situation that has escalated is under the control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. On August 6, it became known about a significant increase in the deportation of Ukrainian citizens by Russia, which triggered a humanitarian crisis at the border point of Dariali.

On August 8, a representative of the deported Ukrainians reported that the hunger strike, which began on August 5, has ended. The Ukrainian embassy continues to work on the evacuation of citizens back to Ukraine, coordinating actions with the Georgian side.

The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs is ready to provide a humanitarian corridor for the transit of Ukrainians through the territory of Georgia as part of the evacuation efforts.
