The Security Service of Ukraine Warns About New Wave of Disinformation Regarding Exchange of Prisoners
- Russia is spreading disinformation about the exchange of prisoners.
- The public is urged to trust only official sources of information.
- Legitimate organizers of events may prevent manipulation by the enemy.
This is reported by Interfax Ukraine, RBC Ukraine.
The authorized representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, warns about the new disinformation from the side of the Russian Federation regarding the exchange of prisoners. According to him, the aim is to discredit the Ukrainian authorities and destabilize the internal situation.
Lubinets noted that the Russian Federation spreads mass accusations through its propaganda resources, asserting that Ukraine allegedly does not intend to return its prisoners and civilians. This information is echoed by some Ukrainian channels, which promote a disinformation front.
Moreover, the enemy artificially creates protest moods, using emotional pressure and manipulation. During mass actions, conflicts may arise with representatives of human rights organizations, which Russia is willing to exploit for revealing the informational picture.
The public is urged to trust only information from Ukrainian state bodies. It is also recommended to participate only in actions organized by legitimate organizers, to avoid being used in the interests of foreign special services.
Lubinets emphasized that Ukraine must remain united in the struggle against the enemy, and the country continues to work on the release of every prisoner. "We have a common goal - not to disrupt the process of exchange," he noted.
