- Brendan Rodgers is not expecting new signings ahead of the match with Aberdeen.
- The club has lost several key players due to injuries and sales.
- Young forward Johnny Kenny signed a new contract until 2029.
Manager "Celtic" Brendan Rodgers stated that there are currently no updates regarding transfers. This comes just a week after his expression of disappointment regarding the club's inactivity in the summer transfer market.
Rodgers emphasized that the management of the club has already proven its ability to make signings. He is looking forward to signing new players before the transfer window closes, but at the moment the situation remains uncertain.
Recently, "Celtic" signed a series of agreements, including securing defender Jakub Simpsona-Pyuzia in "Manchester City". However, Rodgers has yet to receive any news regarding potential additions before the crucial match against "Aberdeen", which will take place on Sunday.
Rodgers stressed that the team needs improvements, and work on this is ongoing. It is expected that new forward Shin Yamada will debut, but the club is also feeling the absence of Kyogo Furuhashi, who was sold in "Rennes" in January, while Djota has suffered a serious injury.
In addition, Rodgers confirmed that "Celtic" is not scoring under the new SPFL rules for postponing matches with "Livingston" between playoff matches, as the team believes that they will be ready for that moment.
Brief information
Rodgers also expressed hope regarding the development of young forward Johnny Kenny, who signed a new contract until 2029. Kenny, who played for the youth national team of Ireland, has already shown himself in the squad during matches before the start of the season.
