The official format of cooperation between Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova has been defined

On September 8, 2025, a meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova will take place in Chernivtsi, where a joint statement will be signed. During the meeting, the parties discussed the importance of the triangular format of cooperation, which is now officially called the "Odesa Triangle". This name was chosen in honor of the city where this initiative was launched in 2022.

In addition, the ministers discussed security issues, including the necessity of restoring peace in Ukraine with regard to its sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also highlighted the importance of creating a regional cyber security center to protect against threats from Russia.

Within the framework of cooperation between Ukraine and Romania, there are also plans to build a bridge over the Tisa River, which will promote the development of infrastructure and economic links between the countries. The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, emphasized the importance of involving Romanian companies in the restoration of the Ukrainian economy.

The ministers expressed hope for the quick opening of negotiation clusters for Ukraine and Moldova during the presidency of Denmark in the Council of the EU. They confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in the energy sector and the development of infrastructure, including cross-border crossings.
