Apple Introduces GPT-5 in its ChatGPT Integration

• Apple will add GPT-5 to its products in 2025.

OpenAI announced the launch of its new AI model GPT-5 on Thursday, September 8, 2025. However, Apple users will only be able to access this technology starting with iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26, which are expected in the fall. Currently, Apple is using the GPT-4 model for ChatGPT integration in its products.

New features that will be available with GPT-5 include improved response accuracy and expanded capabilities for Siri, allowing it to respond to user queries more effectively. OpenAI stated that GPT-5 is the most powerful model to date, with the ability to reduce the likelihood of factual errors by 45% compared to previous models.

In addition, starting September 9, 2025, ChatGPT users will gain access to a new voice assistant mode that will replace the standard one. This mode allows for more natural interaction, understanding commands expressed in informal style, making it easier for users to engage.

Apple also plans to integrate new AI features, such as Visual Intelligence and real-time translation in FaceTime and Messages, which should enhance the user experience.
