In Florida, a woman is accused of posing as a licensed medical professional and providing medical assistance to thousands of patients. According to officials, 29-year-old Osin Mari Bardis from Palm Coast provided medical services to 4,486 individuals from January 2024 to January 2025.

Sheriff of Flagler County Rick Staly called this one of the most egregious cases of medical fraud that investigators have encountered. Bardis was arrested at her home on Wednesday and booked into jail on several charges, including providing medical services without a license. She was held on a $70,000 bond, with a court hearing scheduled for February 2.

According to the sheriff, Bardis used the license number of another medical practitioner and submitted false documents for employment as a medical technician at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway. Sheriff Staly emphasized that the woman could have put thousands of lives at risk, undermining the trust of patients, their families, and the medical community.

Officials have created a special email address fakenursecase@flaglersheriff.com and urge anyone who believes they may have been a victim of this incident to contact the sheriff's office.

Palm Coast is located approximately 60 miles (97 km) south of Jacksonville, Florida.
