Tommy Fleetwood showcased an outstanding performance at the St. Jude Championship in Memphis, during which he gained an advantage in the FedEx Cup tournament. On Friday, he recorded a score of 6 under par, finishing the round with 64 strokes and accumulating a total of 13 under par after two rounds.
Fleetwood has four strokes advantage over players like Collin Morikawa and Akshay Bhatia, who posted scores of 65 and 69 respectively. All players are anticipating the continuation of the competition, although play was suspended due to severe storms.
Fleetwood noted the disappointment in the previous tournament, where he did not manage to qualify, but expressed hope that this time he will achieve success. "Perhaps, this weekend will be the weekend," he stated.
In the upcoming tournament, the BMW Championship, 50 of the best players will participate. Players like Akshay Bhatia and Jordan Spieth will need to perform well to continue their fight for the FedEx Cup title.
