NBA Games Scheduled for Christmas and Season Opening

In the new NBA season, which starts on January 21, 2025, the first game will be between the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as a game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. Both games will be broadcast on NBC.

On Christmas, December 25, five games are scheduled, including the Cleveland Cavaliers against the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Houston Rockets will play against the Los Angeles Lakers, and there will also be games featuring the Dallas Mavericks against the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Denver Nuggets.

This season will be the first under the new national television contract for 11 years worth a total of $75 billion, in which the NBA collaborates with Amazon and renews its partnership with NBC. ESPN and ABC will remain partners and will also broadcast games on Christmas.
