The President of the United States, Donald Trump, issued a secret order to the Pentagon to prepare military plans against drug cartels, which his administration recognized as terrorist organizations. This decision provides a formal basis for possible direct military operations in the seas and on the territory of other countries.

The order sparked a response from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, who stated that the invasion of American troops into her country will not happen. According to her words, Mexico cooperates with the USA, but its territory is non-negotiable.

Trump is also planning a meeting with Vladimir Putin in Almaty to discuss the war in Ukraine. He noted that to resolve the conflict, it is necessary to address the issue of territorial exchanges.

It is noteworthy that in February, the US State Department recognized seven organized criminal groups, including five powerful cartels from Mexico, as terrorist organizations.
