Manchester United have completed the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig on a five-year contract, which will last until 2030.
Sesko will be presented to fans at Old Trafford during the friendly match against Fiorentina on Saturday.
The deal, which is worth €76.5 million (£66.4 million; $89.1 million) with potential add-ons of €8.5 million, was reached after negotiations with Leipzig.
Newcastle United also attempted to sign the 22-year-old forward, but Sesko expressed a desire to move to Manchester United, despite Newcastle's participation in the Champions League.
In a club statement, Sesko stated: "The history of Manchester United is truly unique, but the future is even more exciting. When we discussed the project, it became clear that everyone is ready for the team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies."
United's sporting director, Jason Wilcox, emphasized that Sesko has unique qualities that will make him an important asset for the club.
In the past season, Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions for Leipzig and has a record of 39 goals and 8 assists in 87 matches for the club since his move from RB Salzburg in 2023.
This agreement is part of Manchester United's significant investment in new players this summer, totaling over £200 million.
