On September 9, 2025, Ukrainian forces destroyed the Shahed drone production plant in the Republic of Tatarstan, reported the military movement "Atesh" on Telegram. According to the agency's information, as a result of the drone strike, a fire broke out at the production site.
The strike took place in Nizhnekamsk, located near the city of Yelabuga, where Russia is actively developing drone production. The "Atesh" agents also reported on a successful sabotage at the railway near the village of Kalinino, which led to a decrease in the intensity of attacks on Russian troops due to defective shells.
It is noteworthy that in July of this year, the head of the Defense Ministry's Defense Center, Andriy Kovalенко, emphasized the need to destroy the plant in Alabuga, which manufactures Shahed drones. In June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky imposed sanctions against 86 entities that cooperate with Russian companies supplying components for these drones.
