The ceremony for the statue's unveiling took place on Friday, September 8, 2025, prior to the start of the preseason match against the Washington Commanders.
Brady, who played 20 seasons with the Patriots from 2000 to 2020, led the team to six Super Bowl victories. He expressed gratitude for this honor, stating that he considers himself a little old, but is still honored. The statue, weighing 12.3 tons, is located outside the Patriots Place.
Starting the moment, Brady made a joke about the fans of the New York Jets, saying that the statue will also become a landmark for them when they visit the stadium. In addition, he joked about receiving a ring from head coach Bill Belichick, who indicated the possibility of improving the statue.
The team owner Robert Kraft emphasized Brady's significance for the team, noting that the statue will remind everyone of his achievements and impact on the franchise.
